Music Ministries

 The Chancel Choir is a vital part of worship at First Christian Church, leading the congregation in song and offering anthems that inspire and uplift. Open to adults and older youth, the choir provides a space for singers of all levels to share their musical gifts in praise to God.

Rehearsals include a mix of traditional hymns, classic choral works, and contemporary sacred music, all designed to enhance the worship experience. The Chancel Choir is directed by Lori Ann Scott and accompanied by John Fisher. The choir sings regularly in worship, typically two to three Sundays per month.

Beyond music, the choir is a place of fellowship, support, and shared ministry, where members encourage one another as they serve together. New voices are always welcome to join in making a joyful noise to the Lord!

 The Handbell Choir adds a unique and joyful sound to worship at First Christian Church. Using a beautiful set of handbells, the group shares music that ranges from classical arrangements to contemporary sacred pieces, offering a distinctive contribution to our worship life.

The Handbell Choir is directed by Lori Ann Scott and typically provides music in worship two to three Sundays each month, with special offerings during festive seasons like Advent and Easter.

Participation is open to both youth and adults. No prior handbell experience is required—just a willingness to learn, a love of music, and a heart for worship. Rehearsals are a time of teamwork, fellowship, and fun, as members work together to create beautiful music for God’s glory.
