Rev. Connor L. Thompson has served First Christian Church of Wilmington since 2022, first as Transitional Interim Minister and beginning as Pastor in 2023. He previously served at First Christian Church of Middletown from 2019 to 2022, leading digital ministry during the COVID-19 pandemic with live-streamed worship and online Bible studies. At Wilmington, he reopened the church for community events and helped restart musical ensembles, youth groups, and fellowship programs.

From 2023 to 2025, Rev. Thompson also served Lees Creek United Church of Christ, providing pulpit support and pastoral care. The United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) share full communion, allowing him to serve both congregations. He is a trained Interim Minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ohio and the Heartland Conference United Church of Christ.

An Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver recipient, Rev. Thompson serves as Sycamore District Chair in the Tecumseh Council, Scouting America, and is a member of the National Religious Relationships Committee. He is also active in Kiwanis of Clinton County, Sabina Lodge #324 F&AM, and serves as Treasurer of the Wilmington Area Ministerial Association and Volunteer Chaplain at Clinton Regional Hospital.

He holds a B.S. in Nonprofit and Community Studies from Miami University and is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Methodist Theological School in Ohio. As a Commissioned Minister seeking ordination in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he is committed to nurturing faith, fostering community, and guiding others in their spiritual growth.the

Lori wears many hats around First Christian Church and has been an integral part of our ministry for decades. She began her full-time service to the church in 1995 as the Administrative Assistant, bringing organization, care, and compassion to the daily operations of the congregation. Even before stepping into this role, Lori shared her gifts by directing the Handbell Choir, and over the years, her leadership has grown to encompass many areas of church life.

Known as one of the true “backbones” of First Christian Church, Lori provides vital support not only to the staff but also to the entire congregation. Her ministry extends beyond the office, as she serves as the leader of our Kids4Christ children’s program and as Director of the Chancel Choir, Children’s Choir, and Handbell Choirs. Her passion for music and faith shine through in every rehearsal and performance, helping people of all ages experience the joy of worship through song.

A graduate of Wilmington College with a degree in Music Education, Lori has called Clinton County home since her college years. Her dedication, creativity, and deep love for the church make her an invaluable part of the First Christian Church family.
